A step-by-step approach to building a thesaurus of subject terms, both LC and Local for a specific digitization project. The thesaurus was the responsibility of the Cataloging group which provided enhanced metadata for a large and ongoing collection of images, in the form of individual subject terms and detailed descriptions.
